Pride Day Planning Meeting: Wednesday 9 June, 7:30-10pm

We need people to help plan our Pride Day effort this year! We've got a theme, and ideas for costumes and signs and so forth, but we are open to new ideas and suggestions, so please come out and help! On Pride Day itself, we want marchers to march with us (costumes provided, go as naked as you choose), people to help at the booth, and lots and lots of people to visit us during the day! Midwest Gay Men's Naked Gathering: Wednesday 9 June to Sunday 13 June

(Not a TNT!MEN event.) Hosted by Naked Minnesota, the Sixth Annual Midwest Gay Men's Naked Gathering (June 9-13) occurs near Kansas City at a 175-acre secluded wooded resort featuring a lovely lake, tent campgrounds, rustic cabins, and daily prepared meal service. Last year over 135 nude guys from all around the U.S.A. and Canada attended. Mark your calendar and join the uninhibited fun in 1998! Total cost for all five days (food & lodging) is only US$125.00. All men are welcome. All of our meetings are naked, so even when they get bogged down in business, they are never completely dull! Come share your ideas and help us make our decisions for the future. .

 

Naked in the Woods: A TNT!MEN Retreat Friday 11 June to Sunday 13 June

Come join us at Heartlywoods for "Naked in the Woods: A TNT!MEN weekend of camaraderie and relaxation." Beside great food and wonderful company, we offer opening and closing circles, games, life drawing, Twister, a massage exchange, hikes through the woods, outdoor frolicks, photo opportunities, and whatever other activities appeal to us. This retreat weekend is naked, so leave your clothes at home!

 

Heartlywoods is a 50 acre nature sanctuary and retreat space about 90 minutes north of Toronto, in the Beaverton area, with over 3 km of forest trails, including nature worship sites with benches and massage tables, and featuring a new straw-bale and mortar building which looks like a European stone manor. All men are welcome. Admission is $60 for members, $70 for non-members for Saturday and Sunday. If you reserve in advance, you can join us on Friday night for free! BYOB, food provided, bring bedding, everyone helps with food preparation and cleaning up, no pets please (there have been several unfortunate incidents involving porcupines). Rain or shine: there's plenty of indoor space to enjoy group and private activities.

 

"BARE-B-CUE Season" -- Gary's Party at Muther's: Sunday 13 June, 6 pm to 1 am

Gary is hosting another one of his wonderful parties at Muther's, the guest-house above the Toolbox. An outdoor patio barbeque, some non-alcoholic beverages and a clothes check, with someone to watch your belongings, are provided. Hamburgers and sausages available from 6 - 8:30pm. Bar service is available downstairs. $7 for members and advance tickets, $10 for others, or free with a $15 membership or a room rental. These are well-attended parties so get your ticket early at the Toolbox or leave your name and number with Gary, either by e-mail to imgjptot@bconnex.net or by phone at 1-905-936-3533 at least four days prior to the party.

Nude Coffee Night with Norm: Thursday 17 June, 7:30 to 9 pm

Returning to an old nudist tradition, we're pleased to announce regular "meet the members" coffee nights! Norm, our newest Board member, has volunteered to host a coffee night on the third Thursday of each month, from 7:30 to 9 pm. These are chatty and fun events, a great way to get to know some other members. You can send e-mail to Norm at to ask him if you can attend. Numbers are limited. $3 members, $5 non-members, or join and get in free.

 

The Showboat Party: Sat 19 June, 4-8:30 pm

Come aboard our Showboat Palace at the Barn! This combination event has something for everyone. On the second floor we will have DJ Wayne Kralik with his very popular "Disco Through Time" sounds for the entire party. On the first floor, from 5 to 7 Don St. Jean will lead us in square dancing. On the third floor, we'll have a Broadway show tunes singalong, featuring Michael DaVinci. Come out and join us for this exciting "multi-cultural" event!

TNT!MEN Pride Picnic at Hanlan's Point, Parts 1 and 2: Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June, 1 pm

The very first Gay Pride Day celebration in Toronto was held at Hanlan's Point beach on August 1st, 1971. This year, at the request of the Pride Day Committee, TNT!MEN will be hosting one of the first events of Pride Week this year in honour of that long-ago event: we are hosting a nude picnic on the beach. Bring food and drink and plenty of sunscreen, and come join us on the beach! You'll spot us easily enough -- we'll be the naked men by the TNT!MEN banner!

We'll be doing this picnic on both Saturday and Sunday. The official Pride Guide lists the party on the Saturday, so we are expecting this to be an especially big crowd. And we expect a lot of beach-goers to continue the nakedness by joining us at the Naked Showboat Dance at the Barn later that same day. On Sunday the naked beach party continues, so come out and join us!

The ferry dock is at the south end of Bay Street at Front Street. Take the Hanlan's Point ferry (at quarter-after and quarter-to the hour), and follow the path, taking the right fork, and heading to the beach at the tennis courts.

Nude Reception at the O'Connor Gallery: Wednesday 23 June

We're pleased as punch to be visiting the O'Connor Gallery in their new expanded location at 97 Maitland Street, just east of Church. The show features new work by Mark Reid, one of our favourite artists. This wine and cheese reception is free for all men; you don't have to be a member. Come and join us for a great night of cameraderie and culture!

Show Your Pride at the Barn: Sat 26 June, 1 to 8:30 pm

Last year we had over 300 men from all over the world (including the USA, Europe, South America, and three from Australia) packing the Barn for the entire day, and we are expecting this year to be even bigger! We've extended the hours, starting at 1 pm and ending at 8:30 pm. This is going to be the biggest, hottest, wildest naked party Toronto has ever seen! Get in the spirit of Pride Day and share your pride with us! The clothes-check price is included in the entrance fee. There are no advance tickets for sale. Admission at the door is $3 for members, $5 for non-members, which includes in-and-out privileges. If you join TNT!MEN ($15 for a year), you get in free! And if the place is full when you arrive, spend some time in the Gay Village and try again in an hour or so; people will be coming and going all day long. See you there!

Lesbian and Gay Pride Day: Sunday 27 June

It's one of the biggest Lesbian and Gay Pride Day celebrations in the world! Almost one million people were at last year's Pride Parade, and this year will be even bigger! There's a full week of events. For the official schedule of Events, check out The Official Pride Toronto web site. Come march as bare as you dare with us in the parade, and join us at our fun-filled booth! We're looking for volunteers to help us set up and take down the booth, and for people to chat with the thousands who will stop and visit with us during the day. X-Plicit Players on Video at Cinecycle: Wednesday 30 June

The X-Plicit Players are a naked performance group from Berkeley, California. They specialise in outdoor public performances in their hometown, where they are well-known and widely respected. This video is of their work. Come meet some nude cast members. And be sure to check out their performance of "Tour of Touch" from July 15 thru 17. Cinecycle is in the laneway off Spadina, between Adelaide and Richmond. Admission is $7. This is a clothing-optional event.

 

TNT!MEN Nude Swim: Cancelled until October for repairs

It's the only way to swim! We are pleased to host a monthly nude swim on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Lap swimming at first, then recreational.
