What to Expect at a TNT!MEN Event

It's Perfectly Natural

Getting naked for the first time in a social setting is a bit scary for all of us. We worry how people will react. We worry about our waist-lines, and the size of our pecs and our cocks. But after a little while, when we realize that people aren't judging us, but are instead accepting us for who we are, we start to relax. Soon, we wonder what we were so worried about; it feels perfectly natural to hang out naked. And you know what? It is.

How Hard Can it Be?

Many men worry about getting an erection. Other men worry about not getting an erection. At TNT!MEN, you can feel comfortable regardless of the state of your penis. One nice thing about erections is that, like yawns, they tend to be contagious. Most of us will quietly ignore or admire them, and you'll soon learn to stop worrying.

What to Bring

You should always bring a towel to a private event, so that you have something to sit on. That way the furniture is protected from body oils and sweat. You should also bring a bag to keep all of your clothes in. You might prefer to leave your valuables at home.

We usually provide munchies of some sort at our bar events, sometimes even veggies, and on rare occassions chocolate! Feel free to bring your own, if you like, but don't feel obligated.

At private events, like parties and games nights, the host will generally provide some snacks and soft drinks, but you are certainly welcome to bring your own. Parties are generally "BYOB" (bring your own beverage), so bring along whatever alcohol and other drinks you like.

At brunches and dinner parties, the host will generally coordinate the food. You can work out the details with him.

How to Dress for a Naked Event

TNT!MEN doesn't hold "clothing optional" events. As the sign on the beach in Cap d'Agde says: "Nudité est obligatoire". The only exception so far was our public lecture on Nudity and the Law, and that was only because the venue didn't permit it.

However, footwear is a different matter. At all of our bar events, shoes are mandatory due to health regulations and potential hazards on the floor. At our private events, many people keep their socks on in winter, but most go barefoot when it is warm enough.

When we have themed parties and costumed events (as illustrated here) the idea is to emphasize your nakedness, not hide it. Some fellows are incredibly creative, and love to accessorise till the cows come home. But don't worry; at TNT!MEN, we adore naked men, so don't bother with costumes if you don't want to.

What about your money and cigarettes? You can keep your money in a change purse tucked into your socks. You can store your cigarettes there too.

What to do when you arrive

At our bar events, the first thing to do is to check your clothes. The lovely and talented clothes-check people will sign you in, collect whatever cover-charge applies, and give you a plastic bag for your clothes. When you hand your stuff over, you have two options: you can take a coat-check ticket, or they can write the number somewhere on your body with a magic marker. Most of us don't bother with the tickets.

At our private events, the host will sign you in, collect any cover charge, and show you where you can take off your clothes. (Usually a bedroom.) When you have packed your stuff away in your bag, and you feel ready, you can join the party. Sometimes we provide name-tags, such as labels that you can stick to your body.

Hosts at private events always appreciate an offer to help with setting up or tidying up afterwards, and it's a great way to get to know people better. Remember, the hosts of our events are being very generous in allowing us to use their spaces, so please be especially nice to them so that they will want to do it again.

Still Worried?

Here's a letter I got from someone a little while ago:

From: Bob
Subject: Your web page

Hi! Just went throuh your web page for the nth time and can't get it out of my head. Have been a home/closet nudist for a few years now. Which would be the easiest venue to explore this for the first time?

Here is my reply to him:

Hi Bob,

I'm glad you found my TNT!MEN pages so memorable! :-) Probably the easiest way to start would be to attend something like our swim nights. There were 34 men there last night, and I'm sure you are already familiar with being naked in a change room. This is only a little bit more daring than that, so it's a good way to start, I think.

Otherwise, you might prefer one of the private parties. Those are more homey, pretty friendly and social, with between 20 and 30 people typically.

Don't worry, you'll only be nervous for the first 20 minutes. After that, you'll wonder what took you so long! :-)

So what are you waiting for? Come on out and get naked with us -- you won't regret it!
