Subject: Saskatoon's nude beach

Hello, Spike! In answer to your question, there are two local nude beaches, both south of the city but on different sides of the river. On the west side, the area is referred to as Bareass Beach. It is mostly used by families and straight couples. The gay nude beach is located at Cranberry Flats, a local conservation area. The beach is split into two areas - the area closed to the parking lot is for straights and families and the area further south along the river is the gay area. Most years, there is room not only along the river bank, but there are sandbars in the river that are great spots for tanning and relaxation. If you get too warm, you can go for a dip in the river (however, you have to watch the current). There is an area further up the bank (wooded and fairly secluded) that is used for more intimate encounters (if you get my drift). All in all, it is a good place to get out and enjoy the weather. The season usually starts about the middle of April and can go until October, depending on the weather. Hope this helps! Rick
