Your present Board of Directors came into office by acclamation on March 1st at TNT!MEN's inaugural general meeting. An election would have been held at that meeting, but the number of candidates (8) turned out to exactly equal the maximum number of positions on the Board. We have been honoured to serve as an interim Board during your club's formative stages.
The Board has called an Election, with voting to take place at a very short Special General Meeting, starting at 2:30 p.m. on May 31st at the Barn. All positions on the Board are up for grabs. At press time, some incumbents are not intending to run.
Please be sure to vote so that we can meet our constitutional requirement of a 25% quorum. As an added incentive for you to show up, that Special General Meeting takes place during a naked party-The Emperor Has No Clothes. Voters will be eligible to win fabulous door prizes!
Nominations are now open for up to eight directors, and will close May 31st at 1:30 p.m., one hour before voting.
To nominate yourself or someone else, please contact the Elections Committee Chair. You can also contact any other board member (listed on page 2). If you want to meet me in person, just ask for me at TNT!MEN events.
The new Board will consist of between five and eight directors. They will decide among themselves whose term of office will be one year and whose will be two years. Another decision the new board will make is who will hold the various offices (e.g. Treasurer).
