We've had a lot of events in the last couple of months, and it would be a shame to let them pass without telling you all about them.
The Full Moon's a-Comin' party on Sep 13th was terrific! Twenty-nine terrific men squeezed into Peter & David's house, three of them new members who took advantage of the get-in-for-free offer and joined on the spot. There was certainly no shortage of interesting and attractive men to converse with. We had so much fun that they've planned another one for November 22nd: see the Calendar for details.
The exhibition at the O'Connor Gallery on Sep 17th was called "Gods and Attendants". The principal artist is an extremely talented painter, and the images he created to illustrate various myths and stories were beautiful and fascinating. We had a good turn-out, with several new people joining us for the first time, and are looking forward to our next nude gallery visit, early in the new year.
Our Annual General Meeting and Tea Dance was at the Barn on Sep 27th. Almost eighty men squeezed into this party, with five joining up. The music was great, and almost no-one left early! We finished the business in record time, too: less than 15 minutes all told.
Soon after that, we had our very first Boggle Night on Oct 1st. As planned, it was an intimate group of ten men who chatted and played games throughout the evening. We started with Boggle, a word search game that turned out to be a lot more fun than it sounds. It can get pretty competitive in large groups!
We later split into two teams to play Pictionary, and that was very entertaining, with some rather silly and hilarious moments. Our lovely and talented host Peter S. is planning a sequel event on December 11th called "Art Attack!" See the Calendar for details.
