I have a partner of 15 years who doesn't

mind me being naked and sometimes is

nude in front of the TV, but he won't get

naked outside the house except for some

occasional skinny-dipping.

I find being naked extremely sexual

and sensual but not necessarily erection

raising, although that does happen and I

don't mind. I get very horny when I'm

naked and I like the feeling. It almost

approaches a spiritual feeling.

I've been enjoying being naked since I

was young and ran around naked on the

farm. I can remember swimming naked

with my brother and father in the ponds on

the farm. That was the few times I saw my

father naked. Of course, I always saw my

brother and cousins naked! We would

often get naked in the summer and play

around with each other -- you know, that

typical naked sex play with the cousins.

Now I get naked at home, sometimes
at the office, driving on long trips, and any-

where else I can. I'm trying to find a place
to ride my bike naked.O

porch naked in the evenings. I always get

naked when I have to drive somewhere on

the highway (and occasionally in town). I

been naked in a bar (I got kicked out - this

free and natural, and very relaxing. I like

I think nudity can be sensual, sexual

or non-sexual,depending on the situation.

I certainly have enjoyed all three aspects of

nudity. With some people, I just enjoy the

comraderie of hanging out together naked

(excuse the pun). With others, a little friendly

exercise is often enjoyable. In short, it

an empty lot that was overgrown with

pretty regular summer activity for us. We'd

dare each other to walk to the edge of the

woods and stand there for sixty seconds, or

Since then, I have had a succession of

naked friends, and still have some friends

that I can just get naked with for no reason

at all, just to be naked. In Junior High

school, a friend and I used to spend the

night over at each other's house, and

would often pitch a tent in the yard in the

Passion Dancing Naked

After Hair, my own odyssey took me to Quebec, back to New
York City, and to Edmonton; out of theatre, into community

work with gays and lesbians, and ultimately into social work.

Nudism did not play a particular role in my life just then, save

for personal comfort at home. I laid that part of me aside, until I

connected with the Body Electric School through my work in the
pro-feminist men's movement. Following upon that, there were

Frank Lembo's fabulous naked Passion Dances, the Radical

Faeries (which, among other things, comprised a clothing-

optional community), then TCAN, and now TNT!MEN. Wow!
As an older (some would say old) gay man, I find accep-

tance and comfort in gay nudism. In my experience, gay men
without clothes do have less "attitude". As a sexual health edu-

cator, I routinely disclose not just my sexual orientation but also

my experience with Tantra, nudism, and the radical Faeries.

I am proud of this turn in my life, about the freedom and

Walking out of my tent and into the open was unsettling. My

friend Rona and I held hands for support as we were welcomed

into a group of people of all ages who were nude for the joy and
freedom of it, without self-consciousness. Our own self-con-

comfort with my body which I enjoy despite the pathetic begin

nings in my family, and about the fact that I am in a position

women who are, I hope, on their way to liberation.
