Volume 3 Issue 2 (small edition) March 1999

The Bare Facts!

BOARD MEETINGS
Board/planning meetings are held each second Thursday of the month from 7:30-10 pm and are open to all naked members and/or interested parties. Bring any ideas you may have and come help us grow!

EVENTS
Events are what we are all about. We hold about 8-10 events each month, from a swim at the city pool, dance and social events at public facilities, home parties, game nights, to country outings and beach gatherings. For all the details of these events, please check our usual information sources, i.e. website, information phone line and events calendar. It is important that you check these regularly as new events are added weekly.

During the last few months many of you have asked us to pay attention to weekday coffee nights. Well, your wish is our command; Our regular events now include Norm's coffee night on the third Thursday of each month at his home, and Gary's coffee night is on the second Wednesday of each month at Muther's Guest house (Gary's home, away from home.)

Please, pay attention to our Third Annual Academy Awards Night. The Academy changed from their usual Monday evening to Sunday night. We accommodated this change by having our Annual Naked Academy Awards' Party, in conjunction with Hollywood on Sunday, March 21, 6 pm-12 am.

The Barn will have their regular underwear-or-less party from 4 - 9 pm. When you arrive simply check your clothes at the Barn's regular coat-check @ $1.75, but ensure to keep your underwear on your person. At six pm we will open the third floor for our star studded evening. Pay your admission to our event at the third floor entrance, where we will have our own underwear- (coat) check, and then simply get your hand stamped for in-and-out privileges.

This all may sound a bit complicated, but we had no choice. The Barn was extreme ly kind to allow us to combine our private event with their regular evening's business. We expect a great deal of overflow from the usual underwe ar-or-les s party after 9 pm. So, come join the party, it will definitely be a blast!

Another event to keep your eyes on is our first Naked Country / Latin Hoedown. It is confirmed for April 10, 4 - 8:30 pm at The Barn. Although all details have not yet been confirmed, we can tell you, that we have arranged for Andrew Kennedy to give you some basic dance instructions in country line dancing and two-step, salsa, rhumba, cha-cha, from 4 - 6 pm. We are currently talking to some guys regarding square- dancing. Another first for TNT!MEN If this event proves to be successful we will make it a regular monthly event, on the second Saturday of each month, . . . but, don't let me run ahead of myself. Lets just make sure that all you cowboys will be there for our first!

So start polishing your boots, hats and country accessories, TNT!MEN are going to kick up their heels.

GAY PRIDE 1999

Call to action!
Peter Gray will once again be chairing our Gay Pride Committee and he needs your help now. If you have ideas and/or time why not give him a call. We appreciate hearing from you. We need lots of volunteers, both for our street booth and for the numerous parties we organize during that week (June 20-27.) Last year at the Barn we had 325 naked guests. This year we hope to reach 400-450. And, remember, if you volunteer for an event, your entrance fee is free!! For our out-of-town friends and members, planning to join us during our celebrations, we like to suggest you contact our members and sponsors, Jon & Bill of The TAN Line (Travellers Accommodation Network.) They can make all your travel and accommodation arrangements from anywhere to anywhere on the globe. (See add on reverse)

The Naked Truth!

Hanlan's Point

"Our lobbying efforts are proceeding very well" according to our Legal Advisor, Lobbyist/ Secretary Peter Si m m , " w e' re ju st w ait in g fo r so m e internal city reports, before the next step." Also, Kyle Ray, Toronto City Councillor, was overheard to be quite optimistic during the recent O'Connor Gallery opening. We are currently looking for letters of support from our fellow naturist organizations in the greater Toronto area. All will benefit from our, in particular Peter Simm's, enormous amount of work, in-depth research and tenacity in his lobbying efforts. For more specific information please contact Peter Simm directly (416 368-7316).

May we dare to dream, 1999 is the year, Toronto restores its glorious history by once again proclaiming Hanlan's Point, 'a clothing optional beach!"

The Emperor's clothes Party

(May 29, 1999)
We are looking for volunteers to help make this monthly party at The Barn, even more special. We would like to elect the First Annual MR.TNT!MEN. He will wear our sash proudly; he doesn't mind being photographed; and he will represents us at other official events. Although our prizes will be substantial, we feel that the title is a great honour. Anyone who has been involved in previous year's similar events know that it will require hard work, but the rewards will be plentiful in terms of attendance and personal satisfaction. We are looking for five people to form the base committee. Anyone interested as volunteer or participant, should contact Bert Bik (416 340-8754)

TNT!MEN exposed

April issue - The large one!
April first is the deadline for the next large issue of TNT!MEN exposed. We are looking for your naked stories, true or fiction, travel experiences, holiday cheers or doldrums, why do you go to naked events and what were your experiences, why do you feel straight naturist dance parties often require clothes and why does this not seem to be a problem at our events. Would you like to form a sub-committee and enlist the help of others, than simply write us why you feel TNT!MEN should sanction you and tell us what it would take to advance your subcommittee. Some other members may be able to help. Do you have an idea for a new event, but you don't know quite how to get going! Well, simply write us about it. There may be others who would like to help you get the ball rolling. But, . . . if we don't know about it, we can not help! These are just a few examples of what you could write about. Now, take your clothes off, relax at your computer and start writing, and don't be so concerned about your English that is what grammar checkers and editors are good for. We love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Your submissions must be received by April first. Any stories must be original (yours), and remember, if you submit any pictures, they must have releases of any person(s) depicted in these pictures, and the person who took them. All submissions are subject to our approval, in terms of suitability of subject matter and space availability. At all times we reserve the right to edit for grammar and/or space availability)

IMEN Gathering Coming in July

Geremy Vincent (Mr. IMEN 95) wrote:
Imagine having no clothes on for seven days and nights. Socializing with 250 - 300 other naked men in a warm, friendly, caring, and inviting atmosphere. All this in July (when the days and nights are warm) at a secluded beautiful outdoor summer place complete with 2 swimming pools, nature trails and comfortable cabins (which include showers and indoor flush toilets.)

The food at IMEN is WONDERFUL, many choices and always enough for seconds, including fabulous desserts. The activities during the day and evening range from sports (volleyball, basketball, aerobics, tennis, games, cards etc.), workshops (social, sexual, recreational, spiritual) contests (Mr.Buns, Leather, IMEN etc.) And, how could I forget the wacky, wonderful themed cocktail parties each night before dinner (where else are you going to wear Uncle Albert's tacky fishing hat, or Aunt Edna's for that matter.)

Evening entertainment includes choices of square dancing, disco dancing, movies, X-rated camp fires and a professional entertainer. All these incredible things for you to do OR you can do absolutely nothing, but lie in the shade and read a book. To get there it's a days drive or you can fly into Washington or Baltimore and be picked up and returned by bus.

Now for the not so good news. The price is quite reasonable it's just that it's in US dollars. Unfortunately us Canadians can't do anything about the low Canadian dollar. The price is $485 US for the full week, which includes ALL meals, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and accommodations. For the first half week it is $250 US and $310 US for the second half of the week. See their website for more information: http:// www.imengonude.com

If you have any questions or require any additional information please contact me: Geremy Vincent (MR.IMEN 95) at 416 922-4790 (b4 10pm) or contact IMEN direct: IMEN Inc. Gathering 99, P.O.Box 77122, Atlanta, GA USA 30357-1122 (Geremy will mail you the Gathering'99 Application when it's available, and if you let him know you're interested) Also car pools may be arranged.
