It's been a while since I've updated this Late Breaking News section. Sorry about that. I've been quite busy lately, travelling to Florida in February with my lover Peter and our friend Tom from Boston, catching up on lots of work, and then visiting San Francisco and my best friend and sometime boyfriend Tom. My love life can be complicated at times, but mostly it's a lot of fun. :-)
What's happening with the newsletter?
I'm working on it now. Unfortunately, the people I've come to depend upon to help me get it out are either out of town or extremely busy, as I am as well, so it's already been delayed several weeks. Still, I'm hoping to get it out in a week or so. If you have anything to send me, please do it soon! See the TNT!MEN Newsletter Submissions page for ideas and formatting instructions.
Richard is doing very well. He's passed all his stress tests with flying colours, and can soon resume his running and working out at the gym. (And, as we all know, "gymnasium" literally means "to train or exercise naked", something that Richard has been known to do when the opportunity presents itself.) He's back at work part time, except for this week, when he's at a conference in New Orleans. (Poor fellow.)
The photo of Richard naked in the hospital was taken a day or two after his first heart attack, by his son, while his daughter-in-law kept watch. The heart attack came upon him while he was dancing nude at the Barn's weekly Sunday underwear party, which is a Good Thing; if he had been at home, he'd probably just have gone to bed and tried to wait it out. Because he knew he couldn't make it home, he received emergency care very quickly, which no doubt played a large part in keeping the damage to his heart to a minimum.
(Amusing aside: Richard met his new boyfriend while in the hospital, and the fellow was so scandalised at Richard's habit of staying as naked as possible that he rushed out and bought several pairs of boxer shorts for Richard. Since then he has become a little more accustomed to Richard's naked ways, and even made a brief appearance at a recent Planning Meeting.)
