And all the best for the new Millennium! Have you made any plans for the next 1,000 years? Well, TNT!MEN has, and we hope you can come out and join us! :-)
We had our Millennium Madness party on January 1st, and it was a blast! Over 200 naked men filled the Barn, dancing to great music, nibbling on the munchies, and chatting up a storm. There were a lot of familiar faces, including some out-of-town visitors who have been with us before, in Toronto for the holidays.

Frankly, I wasn't really expecting many people to show up; after all, it was the day after the big night, and I figured people would be tired and ready for some quiet time. How wrong I was! Turns out that a lot of people had quiet nights and were ready for some action!
Peter, Daryl and I spent our New Year's Eve at the Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. The theme was Warhol, and there were lots of great costumes. (Peter and Daryl came in second in the contest!) The music was totally fabulous (according to my taste), and just loud enough. The crowd was really up: everyone seemed very friendly and silly and fun.
Daryl and Peter both stripped down to just fishnets, to the great delight of the crowd, especially the str8 women, who weren't afraid to show their support. I wore a leather shirt and black jeans, and certainly felt over-dressed, but I had lots of fun anyway.
One of the highlights of the evening was when they played the theme to TV show Wonder Woman! I haven't heard that in a zillion years! I was a huge fan in my pre-adolescent days; perhaps I was going through a str8 phaze! :-)
Another embarrassingly fun thing was watching my watch go from
FRI '99 12-31 to
SAT '00 1- 1.
What other reason could Casio have had for displaying the year, except
to make New Years Eve more fun for nerds? :-)
Our members spent their New Year's Eve in a large variety of ways. Many attented one or another of the big gay parties in town. Others attended big private parties. Some spent it quietly at home or with friends, while some headed downtown to one of the huge street parties, where they got to watch a reportedly amazing fireworks display. A few even told me they stayed home with candles and bottled water, fearing a Y2K disaster! Happily, I didn't hear any complaints, so I suspect a good time really was had by all!
