City Staff Recommend Extending Nude Beach Pilot Project (10 Feb 2000)

In his new report, now available online, the Commissioner for Economic Development for the City of Toronto has recommended:

1. Council approve a two year extention for the pilot project
2. further study on the issue of lifeguards at the nude beach
3. improved directional signs and limited promotional materials

The Economic Development Committee will be discussing this issue soon, and we are confident that it will pass very easily. This is good news, because it means the subsequent recommendation from the Committee will reach Council in the near future. We are assured of our nude beach for at least two more years!
