The lecture was a really good, if I do say so myself! We were joined by about seventy men and women for a fascinating review of our legal position as nudists. Peter Simm told us about the differences between "public nudity" and "public indecency", explained the current laws and how they are applied, and gave us some insight into how the laws might be changed. David Basford spoke to us about the efforts of the FCN to educate the nation and in particular our politicians on naturism, and Craig Penny spoke of the way the law is being used and abused by the police to target gay men. A great review of the lecture appeared in the next issue of Xtra. To see some of what you missed, read on....
